It’s been almost a year since I designed my first hat pattern. It feels like so long ago! I forced myself to read through my work, which in turn made me cringe. For example, I thought a half double crochet was a double crochet? This mistake leaves me feeling bewildered but it happened.
If you haven’t seen that first pattern, it’s right here. I’ll be keeping it up on my blog (with a disclaimer of course) as a reminder to myself of how far I’ve come in my pattern designing skills! (queue inspirational music & crochet montage here)
This time around I even crafted up some labels for selling and gifting my hats! I’ve included these printable labels in the paid version of this pattern.
Get the printable version of this pattern including a crochet diagram & label printables for packaging your crochet for $2.50 on Etsy.
And now without further ado, here is the updated pattern! Scroll down a little further to watch a video tutorial for this hat if you’d prefer (:

Hey! Do you think if I made this with DK weight and a 4mm hook it would be child/toddler size? Thanks!
I’m not entirely sure. I think its definitely worth a try.
Maybe test out a a few rows against a toddler’s hat that you already have before getting started?
