Christmas Pug

FREE crochet pug pattern & video tutorial by Mrs. Owl | This little pug is tiny enough to fit in your palm. The tutorial is in Russian but there are English subtitles that are clear and easy to follow! This would make such a cute stocking stuffer or Christmas ornament.

My mom adores pugs! We even have a pug of our own. Here he is looking incredibly sassy in his outerwear.

I stumbled upon a tutorial for this cute little crochet pug on Youtube and I couldn’t resist making one! The tutorial is all in Russian but you can turn on English subtitles. I found the tutorial very easy to follow. You can watch the tutorial HERE on Handmade by Mrs. Owl’s Youtube channel.

Materials used

I used a 3.25 mm crochet hook, Red Heart yarn in buff and Vanna’s Choice yarn in black. You can use any worsted weight yarns you have on hand.  Instead of stitching on beads, I inserted 6mm safety eyes. I put a miniature wire candy cane in my pug’s paw.

The little trees accompanying my pug are made with scrap yarn and old buttons. You can see the tutorial for my pom pom trees HERE.

Pattern Review

I really love all of the little details in that Mrs. Owl packed into this tiny pattern. I picked up a few interesting amigurumi embroidering techniques from her tutorial.

Here you can see the pug’s lil curly tail! Soo cute!
