Candy corn seems to be a seriously polarizing candy! Some of my friends love it while most of my family members can’t stand it. Whether you love or hate candy corn, the confection is still a quintessential Halloween treat.
I’m somewhat partial to candy corn in small quantities. I was inspired by these sugary morsels to create a tiny crocheted bear (with 0 grams of sugar and 0 calories!). You can make your own little bear with the following crochet pattern & tutorial. You can get the ad free, printable version of this pattern HERE for $1.99 on Etsy.
Materials
- Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK in the shades: Vanilla Cream (#408), Daffodil Yellow (#422), and Peach Orange (#455)
- 2.75 mm crochet hook (This is my favorite hook.)
- tapestry needle
- scissors
- black thread
- sewing needle
- small white felt scrap
- 6mm safety eyes (You can get a pack of 100 for only $5 here!)
- stuffing (I use this stuffing.)
Pattern Notes
This pattern is worked in an oval. You will be crocheting around both sides of the starting chain.
The finished bear is only about 1.75 x 1.5 inches.

Assembling the bear
Cut a tiny oval of white felt for the mouth of your bear like the one pictured above. I embroidered a little mouth and nose onto my felt with black thread. Alternatively, you could draw these features on with a thin tipped black Sharpie.
I felted the mouth onto the bear right between the eyes. You could sew on the mouth or even attach it with glue.
Now your candy corn bear is complete! You can use it as a decoration by your candy bowl or make a bunch to give as Halloween party treats.

I love candy corn. We even make our own sometimes because we’re weird. I love your little bear. Thanks for sharing the pattern.
Thank you! I’ve never heard of making homemade candy corn. I just looked up a recipe and it sounds tasty! I want to try making it around Halloween this year.
